KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knox Area Rescue Ministries changed its internal processes for overnight guests in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a result, KARM said it has an immediate need for the following items:
- Twin flat sheets
- Standard size pillowcases
- Bath towels
- Washcloths
The ministry also has a critical need for bottled water for its guests.
These donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., at a barrel located next to its outdoor courtyard, located at 418 North Broadway.
This location is marked by the sign “Helpers of the Day Donation Drop-Off."
IMPORTANT: Only the donations listed above can be dropped off at this barrel.
Donors should call KARM’s Front Desk at 865-673-6540 when they arrive, and staff will meet them at their vehicle to receive their donation.
With the demolition of the Broadway Viaduct Bridge, donors will need to take the following detour to KARM:
- Take Summit Hill Drive to Gay Street
- Turn left on 5th
- Turn left on Broadway and go around the barricade sign
- KARM is located on the left
