KNOXVILLE, Tenn — A message from Mission of Hope Executive Director Emmett Thompson.
As we continue to go through this incredible health crisis…my heart has been so heavy with concern, for our Mission of Hope Staff and Volunteers and Supporters…as the directives and suggestions from our Community, State, National Leaders…literally change each day. And trying to be good and accountable stewards of God's Ministry…I feel a personal and ministerial responsibility, to make sure we abide by and adhere to; what we're being urged to do…in precautionary ways.
As such…we will be suspending the acceptance and picking up of all resource donation items (Clothing, Furniture, Appliances, Various Household Items, Etc.) as of today; March 18, 2020. We are also continuing to reduce the number of Volunteers that serve each and every day here at the MOH Office and Warehouse. We sincerely hope that everyone will understand this difficult decision…we feel it's the right thing to do. Your Donations are incredible and are a true blessing for those we Serve. We will look forward to resuming our normal operations, in the hopeful not-too-distant future.
As we move forward, for the time being…there is still a way you can help us. We are going to try to continue sending much-needed Food Items; to the various Mountain Ministry Centers that are in desperate need. And if you deem us worthy of financial donations that would help offset the cost of the Food Items we need to purchase. And by all means the most important way you can help us is in the same manner you can help The World…with your fervent Prayers. A
Thanks For Your Special Friendship And Compassionate Support…In Helping Us Extend The Truest HOPE.
Sincerest Regards,
Emmette Thompson
Executive Director
