Jake Hoot, winner of The Voice, to perform in Cookeville

He is bringing home $100,000 and a record deal after winning on The Voice. He's also bringing a concert to Cookeville.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Season 17 of The Voice ended with "When It Rains It Pours,"  by Luke Combs. Jake Hoot, from Cookeville, sang it and ended up bringing home $100,000 and a record deal after winning on the show.

Jake Hoot will now also bring a performance to Cookeville as a winner of The Voice. He will hold his first concert at the Eblen Center on Tennessee Tech's campus on Jan. 4 at 1 p.m.

The concert is free and the doors open at noon.

Hoot graduated from Tennessee Tech in 2013, before he decided to pursue a career in music, starting on The Voice.
