KODAK, Tenn. — The Smokies will be hosting a yard sale in Kodak later this month to offload all sorts of stuff as it prepares to move into the new Knoxville stadium.
The team announced the yard sale will be held at the old Kodak Smokies Stadium on the weekend of Nov. 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
People will be able to buy a variety of items, including furniture, kitchen appliances, memorabilia, signs and even bounce houses.
The Kodak Smokies Stadium was put up for sale and redevelopment shortly after the regular season ended in September. Developers have until Nov. 15 to submit their proposals to the Sevierville Industrial Development Board.
The AA baseball team is moving to a new stadium that's taking shape in downtown Knoxville, which has been officially named Covenant Health Park. The new field is planned to be ready in time for next season.
The Smokies Stadium in Kodak opened in 2000. Besides hosting millions of fans and hundreds and hundreds of baseball games through the years, it's also seen major artists such as Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson and conventions, gatherings and parties.
