MINNEAPOLIS — Former Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs continues to shine in the NFL.
In his first start with his new NFL team, the Minnesota Vikings, he had 312 total yards and two touchdowns in a 27-19 win over the New Orleans Saints.
Dobbs just joined the Vikings after being traded from the Arizona Cardinals prior to last week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
When the starter went down mid-game, Dobbs was thrusted into action without practicing with the team prior.
He had three total touchdowns in that game coming off the bench to lead the Vikings to a win in his home state of Georgia, including the game-winning touchdown pass.
Dobbs was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.
