University of Tennessee political science professor appears on 'Jeopardy!'

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A political science professor from the University of Tennessee is appearing on an episode of "Jeopardy!" on Tuesday.

Professor Jordan Carr Peterson will appear on the episode with host Ken Jennings at 7:30 p.m. on WBIR. He'll take on a publicist from Texas, who's a three-game winner, and an engineer from California. 

Peterson joined the university in the fall of 2023 and teaches courses on public law, administrative law, regulatory policy, criminal law, criminal procedure and government powers. 

According to Peterson's UT bio, he earned his Ph.D. in political science at the University of Southern California. He got his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. 

Peterson's research has been published in at least a dozen law reviews and journals. His work "examines the operations of public authority in U.S. lawmaking institutions."
