COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia police say the man accused of stealing a car with a baby inside in Columbia's Five Points District has been captured in West Virginia after a high speed chase.
David Rodgers Monts was captured in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, according to Columbia police.
Police say Monts was initially found inside a car reported as stolen from a gas station in Efland, North Carolina. authorities there say they also found the silver Mercedes stolen from Columbia.

Monts is accused of stealing a car from the Chick-Fil-A in Five Points Saturday morning. A 9-month-old was inside when the car was stolen, but was reportedly found unharmed.
