KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Work is progressing on a new stadium in downtown Knoxville that will become the home of the Tennessee Smokies and host a variety of events.
Developers said crews are installing seats in the stands and are on track to open the stadium by April 2025. It has been named Covenant Health Park and will host soccer games with One Knox, along with concerts.
The price of the stadium was last reported at around $116 million, which includes a Tennessee-shaped scoreboard and a retractable pitching mound to make room for different events on the field.
The Tennessee Smokies will play their inaugural game in the stadium on April 15, 2025, and baseball fans can buy tickets for the season online. Season tickets for One Knox will go on sale Nov. 12.
