COCKE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Federal Emergency Management Agency will permanently close recovery centers in Cocke and Hamblen Counties Wednesday night.
In a press release Tuesday, FEMA said operations at the Cocke County Recreation Department in Newport and the Utility Commission Conference and Training Center in Morristown will close at 7 p.m.
If people impacted by Helene are still in need of assistance, help is available by phone, online or in-person at any other Disaster Recovery Center.
The FEMA Helpline can be reached at 800-621-3362. Lines are open from 7 a.m. yo midnight Eastern Time and specialists speak many different languages.

You have until Tuesday, Jan. 7 to apply for assistance.
