SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — Fans who want to run through the Smokies Stadium field and play a game on it will get their chance at the sixth annual Fandemonium on April 11, before the season officially starts.
The Tennessee Smokies announced that the event will run from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and that it will be free for everyone. However, fans can RSVP for a chance at winning $50 stadium cash. The first 500 people through the stadium gates will also receive a free ticket voucher for baseball season's opening day, April 15.
Attendees should bring gloves and baseballs to if they want to play on the field. Fandemonium will feature on-field games with the Smokies Rally Crew.
Fans who don't want to get their cleats dirty can go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, the team's locker room, the Sensible Concrete Luxury Level, press box, the batting cages and more. There will also be a raffle for autographs, tickets and other prizes.
Food will also be available including Nashville hot chicken and waffles, BBQ nachos, gyros, quinoa burrito bowls, street corn and more.
Two ticket packages will also be available during Fandemonium. The first, Food Frenzy, includes four ticket vouchers for any home game during the season and four all-you-can-eat tickets for opening day, April 15.
The second ticket package, Saturday Night Special, also has four tickets for any home game. It also includes four tickets for the left-field party deck for the first Saturday home game, April 18.
Fans will be entered to win a signed bat if they buy any of these ticket packages during Fandemonium. The Smokies start the 2020 home campaign against the Chattanooga Lookouts on April 15.
