Country icon Loretta Lynn has been forced to cancel concerts after a recent fall that will require surgery.

A notice on her website stated that Lynn was recuperating at home from the accident, which also prevented her from performing over Labor Day weekend at her ranch in Hurricane Mills. The update on Lynn’s health stated that while the injuries were not serious, they would require minor surgery.

Doctors told the singer to refrain from touring until she has fully recovered. No timeline was given for her return to the road. Lynn’s September shows in Renfro Valley, Ky.; Newell, W. Va.; and Bristol, Tenn., have been postponed.

At 84, Lynn remains active in her career. She released “Full Circle,” her first studio album in 10 years, in March, and keeps a lively performance schedule. She is beloved for songs including “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Fist City,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough” and “You’re Lookin’ at Country.”
