TENNESSEE, USA — Spring is here and on the first day of the season, people had the chance to enjoy clear skies and warm weather. And one great thing about East Tennessee is that there are so many ways to enjoy the weather.
Tennessee State Parks are celebrating the start of spring with guided hikes. They are offering a series of free hikes throughout the year, giving people of all levels a chance to explore the wilderness. There are guided hikes available at all 56 state parks across the state.
Park staff were also able to talk about the natural, cultural and historical sights available in state parks. People who wanted to explore the mountains could find spring hikes near them on the Tennessee State Parks' website.
For people who prefer to explore the city, there are tons of food trucks available across Knoxville. Central Filling Station in North Knoxville will stay open until 10 p.m. They offered tacos, hibachi, penne and liquor cakes for supper on Saturday.
35 North, another food truck station in Farragut, offered a similar array of food.
And a new food truck station held its grand opening in Knoxville — The StrEat Park Knox. The park held a soft opening last week and officially opened its lawn on Saturday. It is located off Gilbert Road.
