Heavy rain near Bristol Motor Speedway caused the postponement of Sunday's NASCAR race and created issues for fans.
Low areas around the speedway filled with water, including the Earhart Campground. Campers there quickly moved their belongings to higher ground.
WCYB crews saw people dragging tens, coolers, and other items out of the deep waters.
Longtime campers say they've never see flooding like this before, but they didn't let it ruin their race weekend.
"As long as the race is still going on in Bristol, we're going to be here and we're going to go," William Powell says.
Powell also says the flooding started small but within about 30 minutes got deeper and more widespread.
Bristol, Virginia's life saving crew was at the campground to help with anyone in need.
The race finally took the green flag Monday afternoon, with Jimmie Johnson in victory lane.
