KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Monday, January 3, 2022: As wintry weather continues throughout East Tennessee, we have compiled a list of icy roads, down power lines and trees to help prepare you for your commute.
Knox County
Down Trees:
- West Bullrun Valley Dr. in Heiskell, TN
- 3420 Dockery Dr. in Mascot, TN
- 8610 Curtis Road in Knoxville, TN
- 3132 Longhollow Road in Powell, TN
- Fort Sumter Road & Foust Hollow Road
- Ellis street & Woodlawn pike
Sevier County
Officials urge the public to avoid all travel if possible. The county wasn't able to winterize road due to the weather yesterday.
Closed Roads:
- The northbound and southbound Spur (U.S. 441) from Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge has reopened after being closed temporarily due to downed trees.
- Ski Mountain Road is closed passed Heiden Drive
- Foothills Parkway
- Newfound Gap Road/Hwy 441 between Gatlinburg and Cherokee, N.C.
- Gatlin Drive
- Asbury at Cherokee Orchard
- Nordic Drive
- Heiden Drive
- Dudley Creek Road
- Cherokee Orchard Road
- Hidden Valley Road
- Bruce Road
- Stott Lane and Field House at Proffitt Road
Downed Trees
- U.S. 441/The Spur
- US Highway 321 in Cocke County and Pittman Center
Blount County
Officials say there are tress down across the county, two vehicles are currently stuck and the highway department is beginning to treat roads. No ETA on when they'll be finished.
Monroe County
Officials advising no travel. Cars off the road, some vehicles have had to be pulled and trees reported down in various roadways.
