Free concert, donation drive for Helene flood relief at Kern's Food Hall

Local band The Deep Fakes is partnering with Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville and Monday Night Brewing to hold the event.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Opportunities to help those affected by Hurricane Helene continue in East Tennessee. Kern's Food Hall will host a Stuff the Sprinter: Mountain Strong donation drive on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Local band The Deep Fakes is partnering with Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville and Monday Night Brewing to hold the event.

From noon to 5 p.m., attendees are encouraged to donate essential survival items like tents, sleeping bags, blankets, and more. You can check out a full list of needed items here.

To ensure that aid reaches those in need, Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville will donate Sprinter vans to transport these items to the TEMA donation center at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The event will also have live music from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“We wanted to do something meaningful to support our neighbors during this tough time," Joel Lay of The Deep Fakes said. "Music has always been about bringing people together, and we hope this event not only uplifts spirits but also helps those who are facing challenges due to the floods.”
