"Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted during this difficult time," said Director of Athletics Danny White. "We sincerely hope these initiatives will bring much-needed support and awareness to the affected communities."

UT said it will be organizing, accepting and mobilizing donations for people affected by Helene in the coming weeks. It said it will provide more details soon, including how students, staff and faculty can volunteer to help through the Division of Student Life's Jones Center.

UT said it is also using QR codes at events to provide people ways to donate. UT Public Safety is monitoring how the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency is requesting help and is providing assistance as appropriate to the current needs.

"Tennessee Athletics and the University will continue to pursue opportunities to assist the state and our region in addressing the needs of impacted communities," it said.
