FEMA: Disaster Unemployment Assistance available in certain Tennessee counties impacted by flooding

People whose jobs were impacted by flooding in Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington Counties can submit applications.
The Del Rio community is coming together to take care of each other after devastating flooding.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development announced that FEMA has made Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) available in eight counties. 

Those whose employment was impacted by flooding in Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington Counties can submit applications for DUA. 

Applications for those who live in, work in or travel through these counties must be submitted by Dec. 2. The applications open on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. You can apply here or call 1-877-813-0950. 

Those applying online should specify that they were impacted by flooding. To receive benefits, all required documents must be submitted within 21 days of the application filing.
