Allegiant Air adds two new flights from TYS to Florida

You will soon be able to fly to Palm Beach and Sarasota from Knoxville.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Allegiant Air has added two new direct and discounted flights from Knoxville to Florida.

According to a press release, starting on Nov. 15, you'll be able to fly from McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) to Palm Beach International (PBI) for introductory fares as low as $59. It looks like those flights will run regularly on Mondays and Fridays.

Then on Nov. 21, service will start to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) with introductory fares starting at $59. Those flights appear to be scheduled for Sundays and Thursdays.

Allegiant already has regular flights from Knoxville to Daytona Beach, Destin/Ft. Walton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Punta Gorda/Ft. Meyers, St. Pete/Clearwater/Tampa, Tampa Bay, and West Palm Beach.

It appears that Allegiant has also canceled several destinations, including Denver, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore/Washington, DC. There are no longer any dates available to book those flights on Allegiant's website.

It is common practice to run some flights seasonally, so it's possible that they could return in the future, but no announcements have been made.
