LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — Travelers should look out for traffic in Loudon County over the weekend, as crews work on bridge repairs on the I-75 interstate.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation said that the outside lanes of I-75 North and South will be closed at Mile Marker 83, less than 2 miles from the I-40 and I-75 split. While the lanes are closed, crews will make repairs on the bridge over State Route 1 and US 70.
The lane closures will be in place 24 hours a day, officials said. They will close the outside lanes at 8 p.m. on Friday and they will stay closed until 6 a.m. Monday morning.
Drivers are encouraged to drive carefully in the area as crews work. Officials said a total of 112 people have died so far while working with TDOT.
