LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (4:20 p.m.): All lanes are reopened on I-40 East after the tractor-trailer fire Friday morning, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
10News has reached out to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, who responded to the scene, for a report of the incident. According to that report, a dump truck was traveling east on I-40 in the left lane and a Freightliner was in the right lane.
The truck crossed into the right lane striking the Freightliner. The truck then went off the road striking a guard rail and came to a stop under the two ramps from I-40 West to I-75 South and I-75 North to I-40 West, THP said. The Freightliner caught on fire and burned.
According to the report, the driver of the dump truck was charged with due care. There were no injuries reported.

Eastbound lanes were blocked Friday morning at the I-75 split in Loudon County due to a tractor-trailer fire, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
TDOT said the ramp from I-40 West to I-75 South reopened. The ramp from I-75 North to I-40 West is closed but is being diverted to I-40 East.
Traffic on I-40 East was being diverted to I-75 South, according to TDOT.
As of noon, lanes on I-40 had reopened, but traffic was still backing up at the I-75 split.
