COCKE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Cocke County Emergency Management Agency said that a tractor-trailer carrying 68 head of cattle overturned on I-40 West Thursday night, at the ramp off Exit 432.

They said traffic was temporarily diverted to Exit 432b. But by 10:45 p.m. a spokesperson with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said the left lane was reopened.

CCEMA asked people to avoid the area. They also said that if a cow shows up on anyone's back porch that isn't supposed to be there, they should call 911. They said emergency responders would be sent out and they would bring the cow to the transport trailers.
