ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Thursday that it was investigating after a commercial truck overturned on I-40 in Roane County. Officials said around 42,600 pounds of frozen chicken spilled onto the ground as a result of the crash.
They said the left lanes were closed on the eastbound and westbound sides of the highway Thursday night at around 9:15 p.m.
By 10 p.m. they said westbound lanes were back open and one lane was closed for eastbound traffic. Sergeant Robert Woody, Trooper Paul Dubroc and Trooper Nathan Crow were investigating the incident, according to officials.
They said it happened near mile marker 348, near Harriman.
