OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said that a man was injured in a car crash on Oak Ridge Highway Saturday afternoon.
They said the car was headed west and went into the right turn lane for Beaver Ridge Road. The car then hit a cement curb near the intersection, according to police records.
Then, authorities said the driver lost control of the car and hit a pile of dirt before continuing off the right shoulder and hitting a tree, according to authorities. The car then came to a rest in a creek near the tree.
Officials said Eric Russell Jackson, 40, from Knoxville, was injured in the crash, according to THP. They also said they were investigating the crash.
