ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man is facing charges after trying to drive away from police and eventually crashing in Anderson County, officials said.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said that an Anderson County Sheriff's Office deputy tried to pull over Christopher Edwards, 26, Saturday afternoon. Edwards did not stop and continued driving on I-75 north, authorities said.
The chase ended when Edwards' car crashed along with the deputy's patrol vehicle, authorities said. He was driving a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria. No injuries were reported.
He is charged with felony evading and possession of a stolen vehicle, according to reports. Authorities also said he had active warrants.
Kimberly Snow, 32, was in the car with Edwards when the car crashed, officials said. Information about whether she faces charges was not immediately available.
