ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, traffic on I-40 East in Roane County is experiencing significant delays after a multi-vehicle crash near the Gallaher Road exit on Monday.
The wreck was reported at around 5 p.m. EDT near Mile Marker 358 with the left shoulder blocked, as well as one of the two lanes for eastbound traffic.
As of 5:15 p.m. EDT, traffic was backed up to Mile Marker 362, near Blackburn Lane.
TDOT later posted on social media that a tractor-trailer overturned in the median, causing the delays.
