TDOT: I-75 in Campbell Co. reopens after overturned vehicle and leaking tanker closes two lanes for hours

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. — (Update: 8/1 at 9:30 a.m.): 

The roadway reopened at 3:15 a.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation. 

(Previous 7/31 at 10 p.m.):

According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a leak on a tanker has been contained to about 20 gallons after another vehicle overturned on I-75 In Campbell County, blocking one of two lanes. 

TDOT said the tanker would have to be offloaded on the scene. It also said there is a large debris field at Mile Marker 156 near Newcomb.

Information such as the cause of the wreck or if there are any injuries is unknown at this time. This story will be updated when more information is available.
