TDOT crews work to fill potholes across the state

Crews are working to repair several potholes along interstates and state highways in Tennessee caused by winter storms.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. — Drivers in Campbell County should be on the lookout as crews with the Tennessee Department of Transportation patch up potholes along I-75, as the department continues working to fix issues caused by winter storms across the state.

Crews were also working on Chapman Highway Thursday, patching potholes to make the road safer for drivers.

On Feb. 1, officials said they planned to start repairing several potholes along interstates and state highways mostly with cold mix asphalt. However, they also said some asphalt plants will be open during the day and allow crews to use a hot mix as a more permanent repair.

TDOT officials also said previously that they do not keep a tally of how many potholes have been repaired or the cost of repairs per pothole. These repairs are part of normal highway maintenance operations.

Tennessee drivers can also alert TDOT about potholes in their areas online.
