KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation said Tuesday afternoon a crash blocked two lanes of I-40 West near the Pellissippi Parkway exit.
The crash caused backups past Gallaher View Road, according to TDOT. It was reported at around 3:17 p.m. and crews were responding.
Rain poured down on East Tennessee Tuesday, causing some roads to be slick. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and leave room in front of them while driving in the rain.
