KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Rural Metro said crews were responding to a "serious" car crash at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. They said the crash was on Hill Road, near Griffith Road in Northern Knox County. They also asked motorists to avoid the area while crews worked the crash.
Later, they said the crash involved one person, and said they believed all occupants of the car were minors. They said the car had flipped several times and ejected one occupant. They said when crews arrived, they immediately began treatment on that person and took the victim to a trauma center.
They said there were other occupants with "very minor injuries." They also said the Knox County Sheriff's Office was handling the investigation into the crash.
