TDOT: Rolling roadblocks expected on Alcoa Highway near UT Medical Center

They will happen around 1 p.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

"When you have blasting activities, there's always the possibility that some of those materials could end up in the roadway," said TDOT.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation said rolling roadblocks will take place on Alcoa Highway Tuesday afternoon.

They will happen around 1 p.m. near the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to TDOT.

Motorists should keep an eye out for rolling roadblocks on Alcoa Highway near UT Medical Center at approximately 1pm this afternoon to allow for blasting activities in this area. pic.twitter.com/CtRDhQl65d
