GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Update (3:05 p.m.): Newfound Gap Road has reopened after a rockslide closed the major thoroughfare in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Monday.
The National Park Service said Newfound Gap Road/U.S. Highway 441 was closed between Gatlinburg and Cherokee, N.C. due to a rockslide around 6 a.m.
