ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a dump truck overturned near the Midtown exit Friday afternoon on I-40 East.
They said the inside lane was still flowing as of around 2:45 p.m. However, traffic was backed up several miles in both directions at around 4:30 p.m., past Gallaher Road and Airport Road.
It initially blocked a lane of traffic. But by 5:30 p.m. they said all lanes were back open.
They said troopers and emergency personnel responded to the crash and asked drivers to use caution or choose an alternate route to avoid the crash.
