ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (5 p.m.): The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the tractor-trailer spilled around 48,000 lbs. of plywood onto the road. It also said by 5 p.m., the left lane of the highway was back open.

I-40 East is closed in Roane County after a semi-truck overturned on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened right before Kingston, near mile marker 350, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
A witness told WBIR that it appears the semi-truck driver is okay. TDOT asked those in the area to use caution and seek an alternate route.
It's unclear when I-40 will reopen.
