COCKE COUNTY, Tenn. — One lane of Interstate 40 has been reopened in Cocke County, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The open lane is between mile marker 451, just before the state line, and mile marker 446 near Hartford Road on exit 447. TDOT says this lane will be available to local traffic only, and that all commercial vehicles traveling on the lane must stop at Exit 440 on I-40 East.
I-40 remains closed between Tennessee and North Carolina until further notice.
