KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A crash on Pellissippi Pkwy. closed an eastbound lane near Exit 3 Wednesday afternoon, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The crash was reported at around 4:51 p.m. Eastern Time, near the exit to Westland Dr. TDOT originally said it closed both the left lane and the left shoulder. By 5:30 p.m. they said only the left shoulder was blocked.
The crash also backed up traffic past the I-40 entrance and exit ramps. By 6:30 p.m., TDOT said the crash was cleared and traffic was moving normally.
