KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE: This story was updated to show that American Medical Response transported the driver.
Crews responded to a car crash in North Knoxville on Saturday evening and found a car that was engulfed in flames.
Rural Metro Fire said that the driver of the car had already exited by the time crews arrived, around 6:55 p.m. The driver was transported by American Medical Response with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a release from officials.
"Be careful out on the roads," officials said. "Spring has sprung, but let's not let it start on the wrong foot."
The crash was on the 7900 block of Conner Road, and the Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
