Motorcyclist dies after crash on Middlebrook Pike Monday morning

He was hit while driving a motorcycle. Then, he was sent to UT Medical Center and pronounced dead.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A motorcyclist died after a car crash on Middlebrook Pike Monday morning. 

At around 10:35 a.m. on Jan. 27, Knoxville Police were sent to a wreck on Middlebrook Pike at Robinson Road. It involved a car and a motorcycle. A 38-year-old man driving the motorcycle was sent to UT Medical Center, according to police.

There, he was pronounced dead, police said. The motorcycle was likely driving west on Middlebrook Pike, towards the intersection. The car was traveling in the opposite direction and likely turned left towards Robinson Road when the two collided, according to a press release.

There were no other injuries reported and Knoxville Police is continuing to investigate.
