KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Three people were hospitalized on Wednesday after a serious crash on Kingston Pike in Farragut.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 3 p.m. near the Way Station Trail intersection.
A car was turning left onto Kingston Pike and failed to yield when another car driving east on the road hit it, THP said.
Troopers said both vehicles came to a stop in the westbound lane and shoulder.
THP said the 75-year-old driver and 87-year-old passenger in the first car were injured and taken by ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The 84-year-old driver of the second car was taken by ambulance to Turkey Creek Medical Center.
