KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A flipped semi-truck blocked traffic on Interstate 640 East in Knoxville Thursday evening.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the crash happened around 4:45 p.m. at the Clinton Highway/Interstate 75 junction.
All lanes of traffic were blocked on the eastbound side once emergency crews arrived, and authorities were directing traffic around the crash to keep things moving. As of 5:30 p.m., one lane was re-opened.
Traffic was beginning to back up to the Western Avenue exit as of 5:30 p.m.
The Knoxville Police Department said people should try to find another route if possible.
No injuries were reported.
