Be aware of lane closures on the Gatlinburg Spur from June 1-11

The park does this to make it safer for crews to do jobs like picking up litter, cutting down trees, mowing and other maintenance tasks.

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — If you are heading to Gatlinburg next week, be aware of some possible travel delays on the Spur.

From June 1 to June 11, Great Smoky Mountains National Park maintenance crews will be doing temporary, single-lane closures along the north and southbound Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for routine maintenance operations. Watch out for those closures between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday each week.

The park does this to make it safer for crews to do jobs like picking up litter, cutting down trees, mowing and other maintenance tasks.
