JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was on the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 25/70, according to Jeff Coffey, a sheriff with the department.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report, a truck driven by 23-year-old Jacob Schaub was traveling west on Highway 25/70 and was attempting to turn onto Green Hill Road.
The motorcycle, driven by 52-year-old Teddy Conner was traveling east on the highway when Schaub turned in front of him, THP said.
The truck hit the motorcycle, resulting in Conner's death.
Schaub has been charged with failure to yield right of way, according to the report.
THP said both vehicles came to rest at the intersection of Highway 25/70 and Green Hill Road.
