CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. — The Campbell County Sheriff's Office said that earlier in the week, an off-duty deputy was involved in a crash with injuries while they were trying to repair a motorcycle on the side of the road.
They said that the Tennessee Highway Patrol is handling the crash, and CCSO was not involved in it.
THP said that the motorcycle was facing east on Clover Circle, near Jacksboro, while they tried to fix it. Constance Shoffner, 28, was trying to fix it when a car crashed into it and herself.
The driver of the car said that the motorcycle was in the roadway repairing a chain when the crash happened, according to a THP report.
Shoffner was injured in the crash, according to the THP report.
