GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello let the umpires know how upset he was at a reversed call in Game 3 of the Vols' series against Florida on Saturday.
Christian Moore hit a dribbler down the third base line and dashed to first place. He collided with Flordia first baseman Luke Heyman when he went to touch the bag. Heyman lost the ball after the collision and Moore was initially called safe.
However, the umpires returned the call and ruled Moore out on a base runner interference.
Vitello did not like the call and erupted on the umpires on the reversal. He eventually stopped arguing and returned to the dugout.
Tennessee and Florida split the first two games of the series in a doubleheader on Friday. The Vols are trying to avoid their second SEC series loss of the season.
