OMAHA, Neb. — It has been an exciting baseball season for Vols fans. Some dedicated fans made the trek to Omaha, Nebraska, to cheer on the team!
“There's really nowhere too far for us to go, to watch the Vols,” said Jon Neal Vance, a VFL.
Tennessee Baseball is getting closer to the end of a remarkable season. This is the first time Tennessee Baseball has won the first two College World Series games back-to-back. The weekend game against North Carolina put UT in the driver’s seat.
“What kind of got everybody going at first was Hunter Ensley, when he dove into the wall,” says Vance. “Then, when Tears knocked that one in the right field, that's kind of what set the tone.”
And Friday’s game against Florida State was a nail-biter. But, Judy and Earl Brown said they knew the Vols would pull it off.
“Never lost faith,” said Earl.
“No, never lost faith. This team will pull it through,” said Judy.
Thousands of baseball fans are flooding to the corn-husker state to cheer on the baseball team, hopeful all the way.
“If they make it to next weekend, the championship round, we will be back,” said Vance.
