KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — On Sunday, in Game 3 of the Knoxville Super Regional against Evansville, Tennessee baseball broke the program's single-game postseason home run record with seven long balls.
Christian Moore hit the first home run against the Purple Aces before Dean Curly and Dalton Bargo hit back-to-back big swings in the second inning.
Moore and Bargo hit their second home runs on the night in the fourth inning. Amick followed with Tennessee's first multi-home run in two games with a 2RBI long ball just two batters later.
Cal Stark was the one to hit home run number seven to break the single-game program record for a postseason game It also tied the program record for home runs in a single game, which the team has done five times before and most recently against Morehead State last season.
Tennessee has 173 home runs this season. Earlier this month, Cal Stark was also the one to hit a ninth-inning homer to break the previous program record of 158 long balls, set in 2022.
UT has the second most home runs in NCAA history. LSU hit 188 in 1997.
