KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Former Tennessee defensive players Tyler Baron and Tamarion McDonald both announced their commitment to Ole Miss on Saturday afternoon.
Both Baron and McDonald entered the transfer portal within the last 10 days.
As a UT defensive back, McDonald started in every game he played and ended the season with 23 solo tackles, one interception and four pass deflections.
For Baron, the defensive end totaled 28 total tackles, six sacks, two pass breakups and a fumble return for a touchdown this season.
10 players have entered the portal for Tennessee so far. Former defensive back, Doneiko Slaughter has also decided to stay in the SEC and committed to Arkansas on Friday.
The Vols do not play Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss team in the first season of the 16-team SEC.
