KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Tennessee volleyball defeated Western Kentucky in straight sets in an NCAA Tournament Second Round matchup inside the Food City Center on Saturday night.
The Lady Vols took care of the Hilltoppers with a 25-20 win in the first set, followed by a 25-16 decision in the second set and closed it out with a 26-24 third set to get the sweep.
Jenaisya Moore led the team with 19 kills in the victory. Morghan Findall added 11. Caroline Kerr had 37 assists,
Tennessee will move on to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time since 2005 when the team went all the way to the Final Four.
This year’s team will play No. 2 seed Texas in its third-round matchup. The date and time of that match has not been announced.
