KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Associated Press said two Tennessee teams were high-performers in its latest rankings.
The AP's top-25 men's college basketball poll put Tennessee at No. 7, up by four spots and beating out No. 8 Kentucky and No. 9 Alabama. The association also put Tennessee at No. 7 in its top-25 college football poll, an increase of three spots.
Georgia was ranked at No. 6 and Texas ranked at No. 3 — the only other Southeastern Conference teams to claim top-10 spots.
Tennessee will face next Vanderbilt on Nov. 30 at 12 p.m., ending the regular season at FirstBank Stadium.
