KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football has earned a top-20 finish at No. 17 in the final Coaches and Associated Press Top 25 Polls on Tuesday.

Tennessee finished the season with a 9-4 record and capped off the year with a 35-0 Citrus Bowl win against Iowa on New Year's Day.

The Vols have now finished in the top 20 in back-to-back seasons, the first time doing so since 2003-04.

Tennessee was ranked in the final AP Poll for the 46th time in program history, and the Vols are one of six SEC teams in the top 25.

Josh Heupel has led his teams to four final rankings in the seven years he's been a head coach. At Tennessee, Heupel has totaled 20 wins over the last two seasons as the Vols head coach. That's the most wins over two seasons since Tennessee's 2003-04 season.
