KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee defensive back Jourdan Thomas suffered a season-ending right knee injury on Saturday. Sources told WBIR that the injury happened on the third practice of Tennessee's fall camp.

Thomas was expected to be a key contributor in the secondary for the Vols this season, competing for the starting position at STAR. As a sophomore, Thomas totaled 18 tackles at both STAR and safety and made his first career start at STAR in a game against Georgia last season.

Defensive coordinator Tim Banks mentioned to media members earlier this week that redshirt sophomore Christian Harrison could be another player competing for that starting spot.
